Allspares M.C. Ltd.
Since becoming part of the Karlo Group in 1982, Allspares M.C. Ltd. has provided ship owners and managers with Canadian OEM parts, wholesale engine and equipment spares for most major manufacturers and general machinery, electronic and electrical repairs. Motor rewinding, life raft and fire station recertification, coordination of floating or voyage repairs and Seaway fitting are all available.
The development of this company was an initial stage in transforming Karlo from a general ship supply company into a full service Marine Logistics operation and enables us to provide our customers with all their essential requirements during a port visit.
Saguenay Ship Supply Ltd.
As the sole supply company in the Saguenay River region, Saguenay Ship Ltd. was a key acquisition. Serving the ports of Port Alfred, Chicoutimi and Grand Anse directly and providing a close support office for other northern St. Lawrence River ports, it has proven to be indispensable in maintaining the circle of service provided by the Karlo Group.
Maintaining the name and independent nature of the company allowed it to continue flourishing within it's new frame work. Original personnel remain in operational positions within the Company and our commitment to the region is unswerving.
Lighthouse Trading Inc.
In 1996, the Group purchased the assets of Lighthouse Trading Inc., a ship supply company with it's head office in Quebec City. This acquisition allowed Karlo to provide superior service to the Quebec City corridor and provided a staging point for inventory and supply control to East coast offices.
Their Montreal office and equipment were instrumental in developing other various expansion programs and the customer base was integrated with Karlo's. All services and supplies previously provided by Lighthouse were maintained and the name still remains active and flourishing.
With these companies comfortably assimilated, our Group continues to seek opportunities to expand positively and improve the attributes we put at the disposal of our customers.
